Before you begin
Have your CMI Online Application login ready.
Use a desktop/laptop if possible (uploads are smoother than on mobile).
Step 1 — Check your email
Open your inbox for the email address you used to apply.
Look for a message with the subject “CMI Online Application Account.”
If you don’t see it, check Spam/Junk and Promotions folders.
Keep this message handy; it confirms your account is Under Review and includes your login info.
Step 2 — Open SONIS in a new browser tab
In your web browser, open a new tab.
Go to the SONIS portal.
On the portal, select Applicant when prompted.
Step 3 — Sign in as an Applicant
On the Applicant login screen, enter your username/email and password from the email.
Click Log In / Sign In to access your Applicant dashboard.
Step 4 — Find your Checklist
From the Applicant dashboard/menu, locate Checklist (or Checklist Items).
Click to open the list of required items (e.g., ID, transcripts, certificates).
Review each item’s Status and Instructions before uploading.
Step 5 — Upload your attachments
Click the Upload (or Add File) button next to the checklist item you’re completing.
Choose the correct file from your device, then click Open or Upload.
Wait for the confirmation that the file has been uploaded (you should see the file name or a status like Submitted/Received).
Repeat for each remaining checklist item.
Tips for a smooth upload
Accepted formats: Use common formats (PDF, JPG/PNG, DOC/DOCX) unless the item instructions specify otherwise.
File size: If a file is too large, scan/re-export at a lower resolution.
One item = one file: Combine pages into a single PDF when possible to avoid confusion.
Double-check clarity: Make sure scans/photos are readable (no glare, all corners visible).
